Raw Dartmoor Merino Fleece. The Dartmoor Merino is a cross of a Merino ewe and our local rare breed, a Whiteface Dartmoor Ram (Mat the ram to be precise!!). The result was a fabulous sheep with lots of gorgeous soft fleece, a longer staple than a merino and with the benefit of the Whiteface Dartmoors bulkier frame and exception mothering skills.
This is a wonderful and rare fleece!
Approximate staple length is 13cm.
Our fleeces are all 100% British Wool from our own small family farm on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park in Devon.
Every fleece is skirted and picked by hand on farm and we have many years experience sorting raw wool from a wide range of breeds and for a number of different crafts. We aim to remove as much dirt and VM as possible but as this is a raw fleece please expect some VM/Dirt/ trace of sheep poo.
Weight and measurements are all
Approximate. Returns not accepted on raw fleece but please always contact us if you have queries or concerns. Look
